Tonight over 350 dance enthusiasts, philanthropists and community leaders attended the 2nd annual DC’s Dancing Stars Gala at the Hyatt Regency in Tysons Corner. Every guest arrived looking like a star as they sipped on cocktails while awaiting the extravagant ballroom dancing competition. Gala co-chairs and Fred Astaire Dance Studio- Fairfax owners, Maria Coakley David and Jim David, and special co-host, Emmy Award-winning actor and producer Vincent De Paul brought together DC celebrities and professional dancers from their studio to perform together in front of this lucky audience to raise both funds and awareness for five local charities: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, T.A.P.S., Marymount University, Our Military Kids, and The Code of Support Foundation. This was definitely a Benefit to remember! So in case you missed it, let's walk you through this Wonderful Event...The DC Dancing Stars Gala.
Walk into the hotel's corridor where giant posters of DC's chosen celebrities greet you and take a glamorous photo in front of your favorite one. Then head over to one of 2 bars where a smile and a complimentary cocktail awaits you. Service with a smile...Can't beat that! #SuperiorService




After getting your drink make your way into the Main room, take a seat, enjoy the sounds of The Radio City band with hundreds of other supporters and dine on a lavish 3 course dinner to include Salad, Beef Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and a decadent slice of chocolate mousse cake...Delicious!A live auction was a great perk for charities and a huge hit. One of the items included a private dance lesson with local stars, Andy Baldwin and Caleb Bonham, which sold for $2,100!








The Stars are getting ready to come out but first celebrate with the couple of the night who celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary with a dance to another year of happiness...May they have many more! #ToastToForever

And now that you're all warmed up...Get ready as celebrities now dance to compete for the chance to win $10,000 to the charity of their choice. Judges, Chelsie Hightower (ABC’s Dancing with the Stars), Lamont Easter (House of Cards), and Shane Lewis (Naked and Afraid), along with the audience, voted on the dance performances for who they think should win the title of Best Dancer! president of Marymount University, Dr. Matt Shank and his partner Katya Naiman as the winning pair and awarded them the 2015 Mirror Ball Trophy and the $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice. WUSA 9's Reporter Larry Miller and his partner Katherine Hayes won the judges choice with his combination of Hip Hop, Breakdance and Ballroom! Though only 2 were awarded titles of Best Dancer tonight Everyone was a winner as All Dancers won money to donate to their charities. Congratulations to All!


























































Now it's Party time as the competition is over and celebrities along with their coaches and guests dance the rest of the night away to the tunes of Radio City on the dance floor where everyone is now a star! #BoogieForBenefits
This Weekends DC Dancing Stars Gala was a Great Event Supporting Charities with some of the DC's areas most Awesome Celebrities! This was the ultimate dinner and show! The venue was beautiful, the food was great, the service was impeccable, and the show was spectacular! This was the recipe for the greatest concoction of enjoyment including the greatest people in the DC Area... And with the support of all the fans this year’s event raised over $185,000! #WellDeserved
