Bonjour! Smithsonian at 8 did it again hosting another awesome event rightfully dubbed the name "LA GRANDE FETE'", held at La maison Francaise, in the Beautiful and Historical Georgetown, Washington, DC on Friday, March 27th, 2016 This event marked the closing celebration to the Francophonie Festival, highlighting the diversity and culture in french speaking countries around the world. This Event made for a great time had by all! #AVotreSante'!
Upon entering the extravaganza, the hall was lined with tables representing various french speaking countries such as The Republic of Congo, Niger, Belgium, Lebanon, Serbia, Canada and many more! There were three rooms, each filled with art, food and people proudly putting their countries and culture on display. With complimentary food and libations, a Brew-tiful diverse crowd and spectacular venue it was an exciting and educational soiree! #VisEtApprend

Not only was this event a lot of fun to attend it was also great for networking! La Grande Fete was where you could find a Yoga instructor, Top It Specialist, and an Embassy Ambassador all in one place with enjoying their common connection of the French language. #RaviDeVousRencontrer

This party was jumping from start to finish with music from well known DJ Darth Vader and Princess Leia spinning a unique blend of hits from 80's, 90's and today keeping the patrons on their toes! #LaisseLaDanse
